JLo Beauty Review & Buying Experience
REVIEW: The ads are amazing, but the buying experience isn’t.
The Facebook ads featuring the beautiful Jennifer Lopez are hard to resist – her skin is, and always appears to be, amazing. Most recently, I saw an ad for JLo Beauty’s Firming Neck Serum, and I was hooked. I did a quick search on JLo Beauty Review and saw some decent stars, so I confidently went to the website, and promptly bought something similar to the JLO BEAUTY starter kit but with the neck cream and with the great discount, free gifts and free shipping!
So far, so good. I was pleased with how easy it was to buy (well, except for the fact that after clicking add to cart there’s no cart button and you have to click around to find it, but I digress). I figured out how to find the cart (using desktop), and promptly checked out, excited to buy.
Just as I clicked to confirm my purchase I saw some microscopic print about a SUBSCRIPTION commitment – NOOOOOO!
As someone who is trying to be more budget conscious, I am avoiding subscriptions and only buying when I need or want something so it’s a more conscious decision.
JLo Beauty Review Subscription Cancellation
This is where the fun begins. I was able to navigate to the subscription area, and after a few attempts, start to remove products. They do NOT make it easy, and I am fairly computer and tech and application savvy.
Instructions to cancel JLo Beauty Subscription based on my experience 1/9/26
- Click on your name in upper right of screen
- Click My Account
- Click Manage My Kit
- Click on the edit button
- Click the negative sign to make the quantity go down to zero
- Repeat with all products in your kit to the extent possible
- After finished, you have to either call or chat and basically beg to get out of their subscription program.
I was able to remove 5 items but not the last two (mind you, I had ONLY bought one kit but now had a subscription to seven individual items at a much much higher cost per item!). I went through the contact us options and decided to start a chat with their customer service. After going back and forth for 30 minutes trying to cancel the subscription, I was finally successful. I think anyways. The portal says I still have two items coming, but I received an email saying it was canceled … To get that email I had to threated to write a poor review to get the third person helping me to finally cancel it. Ugh.
I haven’t received the products yet to actually do a proper JLo Beauty review of the products but they better work like magic or this will just all have been one big time suck pain in the neck. Will let you know! 🙂
Happy shopping. But maybe buy JLO Beauty from amazon and truly get a one time purchase.
